Balloon Delivery
The balloon delivery business and its growth in the past decade
The balloon delivery business has grown a lot in the last decade. Of course no decent company is specialized in delivery of balloons alone. Typically this is a service integrated in a much wider offer. The key concept that this sort of companies offer is the “buy and forget” principle. This means that once you decide to throw a party, a company will take care of a ll the logistics, leaving you the time to do something else.
Unfortunately all of us know that balloon delivery is all but “buy and forget”. I don’t know where these companies hire their people. I mean I have seen it all. Balloons with “Happy Birthday” on them at a wedding and balloons with “Happy Thanksgiving Day” in a St. Patrick party. If you think that something will go wrong along it probably will. But try to be optimistic.
The problem I think with the balloon delivery business is the fact that it is too big. This means that they will most likely try to sell you a package when you simply need some balloons. When you finally decide to go ahead with it, you will see that the package is not exactly what you need and most of it is completely useless to begin with. The solution here is to work with small companies who will help you and do exactly what you need to be done. The problem is in locating these firms. Your friends may be better than all the “Yellow Pages” combined, so go ahead and ask around.
You should always keep a sharp eye on the business delivery, especially in regards to timing. Those balloons actually take quite a lot of time to be placed, so it would be better to be done at least two hours prior to the party. If somehow you have a problem here, start motivating the people. A bottle of juice will usually do, in more extreme cases use two.
I am aware that you may feel disbelieving when reading this, but trust me this sort of thing sometimes happens, so it is better to be prepared for it. So the next time when you have to deal with balloon delivery, make sure that everything goes smooth and that everyone does its job, better safe than sorry.
