Balloon Rides

Balloon rides and why balloon riding still rocks.

Balloon rides are one of those trips that you cannot really describe to someone who never experienced it. Just dare to imagine those quiet skies with nothing to bother you.

The strangest thing about balloon rides is that although the wind is driving you, you never actually feel it, because you tend to move in the exact same direction and with the same speed as it does.

On your first such trip you will feel a little eerie. If everyone on board shuts up (something harder to realize than you can imagine) the silence will feel almost overwhelming. On your second trip though you will become addicted to it. Nobody can truly realize the inborn beauty of the skies until he or she experiences it first hand.

You might also get a sensation of vertigo on one of these balloon rides. Don’t worry though, you will get accustomed to it… eventually… The best way to get rid of the nausea is to actually try to drive the balloon yourself. The feeling of control will than surround you and you will be able to enjoy the ride much better. This of course means that you need your own hot air balloon, something that few people can afford. If a professional ballooner is driving the thing, bug him or her with questions and you will most likely get your piece of balloon driving.

The cost of balloon rides is getting lower and lower as many of these companies try to get more customers. What I mean though is not the fact that you can buy your own hot air balloon, these things can get really expensive, what you can do is to pay for a ride and rent one. The cost may be even lower than you expect it, so don’t be a stranger and see what your local companies have to offer.

Altogether balloon rides are a must try experience. In this world where noise is slowly becoming the most important pollutant, a silent ride can really boost your spirit. It doesn’t matter much really the model of balloon that you will fly into as long as you will get that gentle airlift. This will be an experience worthy to tell your nephews about. So what are you waiting for? Get moving and make the preparations. I assure you that you will not regret it.
